The stone masons in this area are truly skilled! the craftsmanship in this villa's stone work is absolutely stunning. the beautiful rural setting, just a short drive from the beach, provided a peaceful and serene atmosphere. the landscaped gardens were well-maintained and offered many cozy spots to relax and soak up the sun. And to top it off, the sunsets from the balcony were simply breathtaking.
There were a couple of drawbacks during our stay. there was only one bathroom and it was located off the kitchen, which felt a bit strange.

The villa is situated in a peaceful location with stunning views of the surrounding area. It offers a spacious outdoor area with a large pool and sheltered BBQ area, perfect for enjoying the warm weather. The bedrooms and living area are beautifully furnished, and the villa is kept spotlessly clean. Additional amenities such as a washing machine add convenience to the stay.
One negative aspect is that the bed mattresses are quite hard, which may not be comfortable for everyone.

I recently stayed at this fantastic villa in Kefalonia and I have to say, the photos don't do it justice! The villa is absolutely beautiful, with stunning stone work and a well-appointed interior. The pool and barbecue area were top-notch, and we really appreciated having a washing machine to keep our pool towels fresh. The host was incredibly responsive and discreet, ensuring that any questions or issues we had were resolved quickly. The location was great, with a short stroll to a taverna and a quick drive to a beautiful beach. The sunsets from the balcony were simply breathtaking.
I must admit, there were a couple of drawbacks during our stay. the bed mattress was incredibly firm, almost like sleeping on a board.

As a senior woman, I found Villa Ydria to be a delightful place to stay. The decoration of the villa had a charming and traditional feel, with beautiful stone work that showcased the craftsmanship of the local masons. I particularly enjoyed the well-maintained landscaped gardens, with plenty of seating areas where I could relax and soak up the sun. The villa's accessibility was excellent, with easy access to all areas and amenities that catered to the needs of senior guests like myself.
If there was one thing I would suggest for a better vacation experience for senior people, it would be the addition of additional bathroom facilities. While the bathroom off the kitchen was convenient, it would have been even better to have a second bathroom upstairs for added comfort and convenience during our stay.
